Testing Center

The Testing Center administers a variety of academic and career/technical tests for the purpose of placing students in academic and career/technical programs. A current government-issued photo ID is required for all tests.

Program Testing Center

Emily Griffith Technical College offers a variety of programs that require minimum scores in reading and math. To view a list of the test requirements for your program of choice please visit our testing center page. We use the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE). Test scores are valid for up to one year after the original test date. Students who wish to retest must meet with their program advisor. Cost is $15 per retest.

Paraprofessional Testing

As of March 1st, 2018, Emily Griffith Technical College is no longer administering WorkKeys exams. Instead, we offer the TABE Reading & Math test for all DPS Paraprofessionals. Tests will be $15. Retests will also be $15. For more information visit the testing center page

High School Equivalency/GED Testing

Emily Griffith is an authorized online Pearson Vue GED Test Site, located at 1860 Lincoln St.

Students will be required to visit www.GED.com to register online for testing and payment. A valid government issued photo ID is required for registration and testing.

The 2017 GED includes four tests: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. The cost is $37.50 per test and $150 for the total battery of tests. If you have additional questions please call us at 720-423-4773.
