Phlebotomy

Our Phlebotomy program covers all of the duties of the practice, including venipuncture, skin puncture, syringe with transfer unit, and special collection procedures, i.e. urinalysis. 

Students also gain important experience with quality control, infection control, safety procedures, and laboratory computer systems. 

This part-time program only takes eight weeks, which allows students to join the workforce quickly.  Students successfully completing this course and internship may apply for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the National Healthcare Association. Those who complete the program have a wide variety of job opportunities available. 

Tuition for Phlebotomy is approximately $863           Entry-level salary for phlebotomists is $27,771 per year ($13.35 per hour)          The Phlebotomy program takes 6 weeks to complete

Payment arrangements for the Phlebotomy program are due at the time of course registration. Payment arrangements are due at the time of registration. Students who are not ready to make payment will not be registered. If registering a month or more before the cohort start date, a payment plan option is available with a $20 fee. If registering less than a month before the cohort start date, full payment may be required.

Payment plan information:

  • Downpayment and scheduled monthly payment amounts depend on the registration date and cohort schedule.
  • Full payment must be completed by the end of class, before starting the clinical/internship.
  • For example, a Phlebotomy student who qualifies for two payments wil make a downpayment of $441.40 and one additional payment of $441.40 for a total of $ 882.80 ($862.80 program cost plus $20 fee).
