About Career Readiness ESL (CRESL)

CRESL classes focus on the workplace and provide students with the communication skills necessary to find work, improve work, and be successful in the workplace. Classes are funded by the Colorado Refugee Services Program. 

The CRESL program offers classes at three locations and online—classes and locations based on availability. 

Registration Steps

Registration is based upon availability only.

Email learnenglish@emilygriffith.edu to confirm registration is open before coming in.

1. Staff confirms eligibility for CRESL program

2. Student completes placement test  
3. Student chooses class(es) based on level and schedule
4. Student signs CRESL program paperwork
5. Start class! 

NOTE: Online classes do fill up and availability is not guaranteed. Students interested in online classes must have an email address, reliable internet access, and a device with Google Meet compatibility. Specific class options and details will be available at registration.

Class Options

Level: Literacy (beginner), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Time of Day: Morning, Afternoon, and Evening
Format: In-person (at Main Campus and Aspen Hall) and Online

Time of Day: Daytime Morning and Afternoon
Format: Online

Level: 1, 2, 3, 4
Time of Day: Daytime Afternoon
Format: In-person (only at Main Campus)

Level: 2, 3, 4, 5
Time of Day: Daytime Afternoon
Format: Online

Level: 4, 5
Time of Day: Morning and Evening
Format: Online

Cost and Eligibility

Cost: FREE for eligible students
 
Eligibility: open to New Americans who arrived as:

Students can take these classes for 5 years after arriving in the United States. Please bring immigration documents to registration. Our staff will use them to check eligibility.

FAQS

You must come into one of our offices to register for classes.

You cannot register a friend or family member. All students must come in-person to take a placement test and choose classes. We use an interpretation phone service so that we can communicate with your friend or family member in their language.

Yes. Please talk to one of the CRESL Navigators to change your schedule.

Our PACE classes are open to all students, however, they are tuition-based meaning you will be required to pay for PACE classes. We encourage you to talk to a Navigator about your options in both the CRESL and PACE programs based on your learning needs
