About Work Readiness English (AELA)
Work Readiness English classes focus on workplace English and provide students with the communication skills necessary to find work, improve work, and be successful in the workplace. Classes are funded by the Colorado Department of Education through the Adult Education and Literacy Act (AELA) grant. Regular attendance and testing is a requirement for these classes.
Registration Steps
Stop by one of our locations (Main Campus or Project Worthmore) to schedule a registration appointment.
Registrations occur 4 times per year in January, March, August, and October. Appointments are based on the number of spots available in class.

Levels 0 and 3: Tuesday/Thursday, 9 – 11:30 AM
Levels 1 and 2: Tuesday/Thursday, 12 – 2:30 PM

Yes! You will receive a certificate after you complete 40 hours of class time.
No. This class requires consistent attendance. If you cannot come regularly, you can sign up for a PACE class that fits your schedule or attend English conversation hours at Project Worthmore. Come by the office at 1633 Florence St. Aurora, CO 80010 to get a schedule of activities.
The AELA program has 4 levels. You will take a test during registration to determine your level.
Yes! You can take AELA classes along with any other program at the college, or you can just take an AELA class.
