OVERVIEW

Two HVAC Students Look at Wiring with Flashlight in Denver, CO

An HVAC Technician, or a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician, installs and repairs various air quality systems. Their main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items.

Over the course of the apprenticeship, technicians learn safety practices, blueprint reading, and how to use tools. They also learn about the numerous systems that heat and cool buildings.

Requirements: You must be 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
