Guiding Emily Griffith into its next chapter
Denver Public Schools (DPS) has begun the process of recruiting its new President of the Emily Griffith Technical College (Emily Griffith). DPS, in partnership with Emily Griffith Foundation, has retained a nationally recognized executive search firm, Isaacson, Miller, to conduct a thorough and inclusive search process. This effort will identify a leader who embodies the College’s mission: preparing our students for today’s workforce and tomorrow’s opportunities.Â
The search will conclude in Spring 2026, with the College’s new President expected to begin their tenure in the summer or early fall of 2026.
What we value in our President
The inaugural President will lead Emily Griffith Technical College at a critical moment in its history, with the introduction of an Associate of Applied Science degree, and will collaborate with colleagues within the College, as well as with Denver Public School’s executive cabinet and the Emily Griffith Foundation, to address the following opportunities and challenges:
- Craft an innovative and galvanizing vision that strengthens Emily Griffith and prepares Colorado for ongoing workforce transformation.
- Expand cross-sector partnerships with industry and post-secondary institutions to bolster the Emily Griffith workforce education experience.
- Evaluate and enhance programmatic offerings to ensure excellence, relevance, and strong enrollment.
- Grow and expertly steward financial resources to support the College’s mission.
- Attend to the student experience and achieve strong student outcomes.
- Attract, retain, and develop knowledgeable, skilled, and committed faculty and staff and invest in internal infrastructure and systems.

Search Process
The search is guided by a Presidential Search Committee from the Emily Griffith community. Working with our executive search partners as Isaacson, Miller, the Committee will identify, recruit, and evaluate a strong and diverse pool of candidates. The Search Committee will be joined by additional interview panelists who will bring tremendous expertise to the selection process as semi-finalist interviews begin.
